Meet Dr. AV Mathey from The Aesthetic Clinic.

Dr Mathey completed his medical studies in 1986 at the University of Pretoria and entered into private practice in 1988. In 1997 he completed his MBA at the University of South Africa, majoring in Total Quality Management in the Healthcare Industry of South Africa. As a member of the board of trustees of Ingwe and Momentum medical aids, he served on the audit and clinical governance committees of the respective medical aids.

He is currently a director and co-owner of Bramhope Safety Solutions, which specialises in creating safety solutions and training in industrial companies. Dr Mathey has been practicing aesthetics since 2009. His approach to a wellness model incorporates Slender Wonder as a weight-loss programme, restoration of the patient’s hormone levels through bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and facial rejuvenation.

He has been trained in all aesthetic modalities by renowned national and international trainers. His approach to facial rejuvenation is three dimensional – by incorporating facial redermalization, skin resurfacing procedures, volumising (HA fillers, bio-stimulators), vector rejuvenation and plasma technology. Dr Mathey is the owner of The Aesthetic Clinic Waterkloof, The Aesthetic Clinic Secunda and Aesthetico Polokwane. He also has working relationships with various other aesthetic clinics.
